Website privacy

A simple approach to website stats.

This website measures page views and estimated visits to understand which articles readers find useful. Tracking began on 1 November 2026.

We use a random identifier stored in your browser tab, with a new visit after 30 minutes without a tracked page view. We do not use tracking cookies, store IP addresses, or collect names or email addresses for analytics. Only the page path, broad referrer category, device category, and date are counted. Referrer paths and query strings are not sent.

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals disable analytics. You can also block the site’s analytics request in your browser. If browser storage is unavailable, tracking is skipped. Short-lived random event and visit identifiers are hashed and retained for up to seven days to prevent duplicate counts. Detailed daily totals are retained for 90 days; weekly page totals are kept for approximately 13 weeks. Identifiers are not included in reports.

Stats are visible only to the website owner and authorized administrators. A weekly summary is emailed privately to the owner. These are approximate readership measures, not a count of identifiable people.

The publishing studio uses ChatGPT sign-in and stores authorized account details separately to control access. Analytics does not use these account details to identify readers. The hosting service may process operational request logs under its own terms.
